Detailed as a 3-wheeled motorcycle rather than a 3-wheeled car the Polaris Slingshot was created and built by Polaris Industries (USA) in 2014 and went on sale the year after. Powered by a 2.4 DOHC litre petrol engine that powers the back wheel through a carbon fibre reinforced belt, the vehicles are equipped with traction control, power assisted steering, ABS brakes, LED front and rear lights and waterproof seats as standard.
The body consist of a high-strength steel space frame with double-wishbone front suspension with sway bar. Two versions of the model are available, a base model and a more equipped SL version that includes amongst other things larger wheels, reversing camera, Bluetooth and a 4.3" screen along with USB connectivity. The Slingshot is currently available in the USA.
