Built by the motorcycle company, Advance Motor Company in Northampton (UK) the Advance tricar was powered by a 6hp water cooled engine that was later uprated to 9hp. This powered the rear wheel via a chain.
Unusual for the time was the fact that the controls for igntion, air and throttle were all positioned on the steering column. In 1907 an air-cooled engine was introduced and production continued until 1908.
