Phiaro

Unveiled in October 2005 in Tokyo, Japan the Phiaro 3-wheeler is simply called “3-wheeler”.  The 3-wheeler is a full working prototype and there are no plans to put it into production. It is based on the Carver One and the Phiaro Corporation worked in conjunction with Brink Dynamics to create a new styling concept for the exterior and interior of the Carver One.

The vehicle is of the tilting type in that the main body has a swivel joint that allows the main body to lean up to 45 degrees whilst the two rear wheels stay firmly on the road. Below 10km/h the 3-wheeler has a hinge lock that keeps the vehicle upright.  Power comes from a 659cc liquid-cooled four-stroke transverse turbocharged four cylinder engine with an intercooler.
