Jackson

Founded in 1899 Reynold Jackson & Co Ltd of Altrincham (UK) the first 3-wheeler produced was a “doctors” carriage that was a 2-seater powered by a 3.5hp De Dion engine.  The company went on to build a number of 3-wheelers powered by De Dion engines until they were replaced in 1913 with a JAP 12hp v-twin engine.  The vehicles used Lacost & Battmann chassis in which the single rear wheel was driven by a chain.  Later version of the vehicle were available in both car and van models.  Production of the vehicles ceased in 1914 with the onset of World War 1.
