The Edith Mini-Car was first manufactured in Australia in 1953 by Grey & Harper Ltd. It was powered by a Villiers 2-stroke engine that combined with its fibreglass two seater body could reach speeds of 40mph. Few vehicles were sold and so it was soon replaced by a 4-wheeled version. In 1957 it reappeared at the Melbourne motor show and was the cheapest car there with a price tag of £350 plus tax and two weeks delivery. It was not thought to have been successful.
