The Minikin was first introduced in 1983 by D & A Vehicles (USA). The company had brought out the Freeway firm H.M.Vehicles are went on to produce the Minikin. Mechanically the Minikin is almost identical to the Freeway and is powered by a 16hp, four-stroke, air cooled 453.25cc Tecumseh engine. Unlike the Freeway however the Minikin is a two seater vehicle and is convertible with its “soft top”. The body is made from fibreglass that has a “gel coat” finish in either yellow, orange or red. Only 17 Minikins were ever manufactured before production ceased in 1986.
