Designed and built by automotive designer Brad Bonning in Queesland (Australia) in 2007, the Bonnington Roadster was developed from a pedal-powered car that Bonning had produced for driver training. The main concept behind its development is to create a vehicle that not only consumes petrol but also alternative fuels like hydrogen and methanol derived from household waste.
The Bonnington is a 2 seater and is constructed from aluminium giving the car a total weight of just 400kg. Powered a motorcycle derived engine it is said to have phenomenal acceleration and a top speed of approximately 125mph (200km/h).
The current vehicle is a one off working prototype.
