| My thanks go to Alan Goldwater in California for this Photo. Alan writes: Attached is a picture of a 3-wheeler I almost bought in Carefree, Arizona in 2002. I spent some time looking it over and drove it about 5 miles. I was told it was built in Los Angeles around 1989. It was powered by a Yamaha 400cc 4-cyl aircooled motor, which
was only running
on 3 when I drove it. The steering was by means of a small wheel, chain-coupled to a rack-and-pinion axle, and with the chain loose as found it was pretty scary!
Though offered at only $1000 I decided to pass on it because of the worn-out motor and short wheelbase. | |
