Wooler

Description

The Wooler Mule was first built in 1920 by the Wooler Engineering Company Ltd. Alperton, Middlesex.(UK). The company had been building motor cycles since 1911 when they decided to build a 3-wheeler. Designed by John Wooler, the Mule was powered by a horizontally opposed air-cooled 1.022cc engine that was the first to be fitted into a 3-wheeled vehicle. At the time only three other 3-wheeler manufacturers were in production, but with exception of Morgan all the companies ceased manufacture within the same year. Only two Wooler Mules are known to have been made though the company did carry on making motorcycles ended production of those in the 1950’s.
