Tryker

A 1983 Tryker. (My thanks to Tom Carmody for sending me this photo of his vehicle.)

Tryker

Description

The Tryker first appeared in 1983 as a kit car. Designed by an engineer in Santa Barbara, California. (USA)  the vehicle was built using the front wheel drive system of a 1977 - 1983 series Honda Accord.  This was powered by a Yamaha 4-stroke 75 V-twin 920cc motorcycle engine though the one pictured has a 1997 1100cc Yamaha Virago engine.

The project was abandoned in 1987 and it is not known how many kits were sold but the vehicle on the right is believed to be the only one.
