Tribelhorn

The 1919 Tribelhorn. (My thanks to Kerry Croxton for sending in this picture)

Tribelhorn

Description

The Tribelhorn was first manufactured in Switzerland in 1902 though it was not until 1918 under the name of Electrische Fahrzeuge AG that they introduced an electric powered 3-wheeler. The vehicle had a steel 2-seater body and the batteries were stored under the seat. The chassis of the vehicle was used by the Swiss Post Office with such demand that with other commercial customers Tribelhorn were prevented from building many vehicles for private use.  Production ceased in the early 1920’s
