TR Hog

The 2002 TR Hog. (My thanks go to Charles Valentine for allowing me to use this picture and for the data on this page.)

TR Hog

Description

Designed by Charles Valentine (Arkansas, USA) the TR Hog is a 3-wheeled Harley built for paraplegics.  Chrarles Valentine has created over 30 hotrods and motorcycles and so knows the design is functional, especially as a paraplegic was invited to roll his wheel chair up and successfully entered the vehicle placing his folded chair on the rack behind him.   Powered by a 750 Yamaha engine, Dave Norton (Shrike) was involved and after a number of engineering studies believes that the TR Hog is a potentially fine machine.  A US Patent Attorney has also commented that the reverse mechanism is patentable and that the whole machine is possibly also patentable as a concept
