The "Holt steam powered 3 wheel tank" was a US Army prototype armored vehicle called the Steam Wheel Tank, built by the Holt Manufacturing Company around 1917-1918. It was the third tank design for the US and was built on the chassis of a steam tractor, featuring two large rear drive wheels and a single smaller steering wheel at the front. It was powered by two steam engines and performed poorly during trials in 1918, so it was not developed further.
