Souriau

The 1912 Souriau. (My thanks to Kerry Croxton for sending in this picture)

Souriau

Description

The Souriau was first created in Loire-et-Cher, France in 1912 though an experimental model had appeared as early as 1907.  The vehicle, also known as the Obus, was powered by either a 5hp 625cc single cylinder engine or a much larger 8hp 1,460cc 4-cylinder engine. The engine provided power by belt to the single front wheel that drove and steered the vehicle.  Production ceased in 1914.
