Sautel Et Sechaud

A 1903 Sautel Et Sechaud. (My thanks to Kerry Croxton for sending in this picture)

Sautel Et Sechaud

Description

The Sautel Et Sechaud was introduced in France 1902. The vehicle was powered by a vertically positioned single-cylinder 3.5hp engine that was mounted behind the rear seat. This then drove the rear wheel via a 2-speed gearbox.  All the controls were mounted on the steering column and so gear changing was effected by moving the  column forward or backward. Production ceased in 1904.
