Reliant 7 CWT pickup

Reliant 7 CWT pickup

Description

1935 Reliant 7 CWT pickup

This was for sale on ebay, December 2023. This is from the sellers listing:
Here you have a very rare car, It's a 1935 Reliant 7cwt pickup and was built by Reliant in September 1935 and is number 31 off the production line. She has a 600cc JAP single driving a three speed with reverse gear box and then a duplex chain to the rear axle. She is still on the road making her also the oldest Reliant still on the road and turns many a head when I drive her to local events. She was rescued in 2008 and then under went a total full restoration as she had been laid up for over 50 years. Now ten years down the line she will start 1st kick (90%) of the time and drives great though it's a totally different driving experience from anything you would of driven before so I will explain and show how to drive her. This truck is 88 years old so don't expect a brand new BMW off the production line please. She has a few little bits that could do with looking at like I noticed on my last run out that there was a wheel stud missing, also she could do with a better throttle cable set up. The one on there has done well for the passed ten years but could possible be made better. The other item that she dose not have is a charging cricket as I can not find a miller dynamo which was fitted to this truck so for the passed ten years she has had a car battery in the rear powering the live coil. This works well and was good enough to do the London to Brighton run in 2015 completing the run in 4 hours and 11 minutes with no problems.
