Moto Guzzi 600 U

Moto Guzzi 600 U

Description

Moto Guzzi 600 U.

Moto Guzzi was conceived by two aircraft pilots and their mechanic serving in the Corpo Aeronautico Militare (the Italian Air Corp, CAM) during World War I: Giorgio Parodi, Giovanni Ravelli and Carlo Guzzi. It was after WWI that the two decided to start producing motorcycles.

Carlo Guzzi designed their first engine and it was so successful, that it remained unchanged until 1980.

Italy relied on 3 wheel vehicles a lot. Italy's military was also paying attention to 3 wheelers. In 1942 Moto Guzzi introduced the 600 U. The 600 U included boxes for ammunition and tripods for gun mounts.

Here are some other motorcycles with guns mounted on them. You can scroll through the pictures in this window, or click on an image and open up a new window in Flickr.
