Japanese Type 97
Description
A Japanese Type 97. Basically a Japanese built Harley Davidson.
The Rikuo ("Road King") was the main vehicle of the Japanese Imperial Army. It was produced by several local companies until the end of World War II. The motorcycle was equipped with a 1200 cc V-twin identical to that installed on the Harley-Davidson VL model. The Rikuo Type 97 is perfectly adapted to all types of roads and even on off-road it performs great thanks to the sidecar wheel drive, which was its main feature. Various sources agree that a total of about 18,000 of these motorcycles have been produced.
