JBF BoxerDescriptionThe JBF Boxer was created in 1992 by John Fernley who owned a motorcycle business at the time and after seeing a Lomax he wanted to make a kit car. The idea was to sell a set of plans for a plywood and aluminum body to drop onto a Citroen 2CV chassis. The car could be either 3 or 4 wheeled. The prototype had a rigid body made from marine ply with fibreglass seams which was then clad in thin aluminium. Fernley wanted to use as much of the donor car as possible and used all the instruments and running gear etc. He even used the side windows as a kind of Brooklands aero screen. Detailed Information
