Jan Krieg 3 WheelersDescriptionJan Krieg 3 WheelersThe big aluminum car was built in 2001. It had a four-cylinder Kawasaki 1000cc engine with a six speed gearbox. This car was street legal. It was completed in 2001. It is currently being converted to an electric vehicle. The red car was built in 1988. It was powered by a Honda scooter motor. In these pictures, this is also the sliver car and the blue car. It was painted a few times. The 3 wheeler with the bulldog in it is a bicycle that was covered scrap aluminum from the big aluminum car pictured here. This was built in 2002. There is an an electric motor in the sidecar. The PLUGGED IN 3 wheeler was built in 1997 for the Sandhill Challenge gravity race in Menlo Park, California. Jan built this one with some underprivileged high school students. The students had a desire to enter the race however, they didn’t have a car and their school had no shop, so Jan invited them to his shop. This is what they built under Jan's supervision. They ended up winning the high school division and placing third overall against 55 of the biggest, high-tech companies in Silicon Valley. Some of the companies they were up against included Stanford Linear Accelerator, NASA, Lockheed Martin. This car is now in the Tech Museum in San Jose, California. Detailed Information
