Harp JetmobileDescriptionHarp JetmobileRichard Harp in the early 50’s created a single-seat three-wheel vehicle, which was chronicled in Mechanix Illustrated & Popular Science in 1952. Built upon a channel steel frame chassis with bodywork created from ‘aircraft belly/wing tip tanks’ with powered being provided by a rear-mounted flat-4 cyl Lycoming aircraft engine with a 4-speed manual transmission. The vehicle was displayed at various auto shows but was destroyed in a fire but shortly after rebuilt/recreated, with reference to a Ford V8-60 and Hyra-Matic transmission being installed.
