Gould

The 1962 Gould Special.

Gould

Description

Built in 1962 in Cheyenne, Wyoming (USA) the Gould Special was a 3-wheeler that was built by Mel Gould from junk (though I still think it is worth a mention in the A-Z section).  The vehicle was built from motorcycle parts and various bits of machinery that included being powered by an engine from a hay bailer.  The vehicle had two hard tops, one for summer and one for winter, both made from old “Dodge trunk lids”.  It had cycle tyres on all 3 wheels, the front two being Chryslers.  The Gould Special was licensed as a “Big Scooter”.
