Glasgow TractorDescriptionHere is a 3 wheel drive Glasgow Tractor.The Glasgow has three wheels, arranged with two wheels at the front and a single driven wheel at the rear, to eliminate the need for a differential. When going forward, it has three wheel drive, but when in reverse, only one wheel drives. The tractor's weight is 38cwt, with 4 cylinder single valve, 4 x 5 1/2, 25 h.p. at 1000 r.p.m. The Glasgow tractor, Scotland’s only indigenous tractor which was produced between 1919 and 1924 and a 3 HP single cylinder single sleeve valve stationary engine, both of which were closely linked to three families Wallace, Burt and Guthrie.
