Description

Elio Motors was founded in 2008 by Paul Elio in Arizona, USA.  In 2013 the company announced a new 3-wheeler called the Elio that is set to start production in 2014.  The Elio  is a 2-seater with the passenger sitting behind the driver. It is powered by an inline, 70 bhp, 3-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 1000cc engine that drives the two front wheels via a 5-speed manual or automatic gearbox that also has a reverse.  It is estimated to provide 84 mpg (3.4 L/100 km) on the highway (49 mpg (5.8 L/100 km) in the city) thanks to its lightweight composite body that also includes a reinforced roll-cage frame.
