The first Coventry Victor appeared in 1926 in Coventry, Warwickshire (UK) and became very successful. The Coventry Victor came in several body versions and by 1933 six models were offered to the public. These were the Midget, a two speed vehicle for £75 or £78 10s if the overhead-valve was fitted.  The Deluxe Chummy (£99 15s), this was a family version that included an extra two seats in the rear for children and was powered by a 688cc water cooled, side-valve, flat twin engine. This engine was up rated to 749cc for competition purposes in the Sports model for £105 (or £110 with an overhead valve engine).

There was also a full four-seater model for £105 and from 1932 a luxury 2 seater model  for £120 and an Avon Sports Coupe with an enclosed body for £125.  Production of all models ceased in 1938 though in 1949 an attempt to revive the name with several prototypes code-named “Venus” were created powered by a 747cc flat-4 engine.  These did not go into production.
