Vincent 3 Wheel Sports CarDescriptionVincent 3 Wheel Sports CarThis was created in the early 1950s. It has a steel tube frame chassis. The aluminum bodywork is by Dick Shattock. It is powered by a rear-mounted air-cooled V-twin 998cc Rapide (45hp) engine with a 4-speed manual transmission. The bodywork featured a central duct that would focus air over the engine for cooling. A single prototype was tested on British roads, subsequent engine upgrades during development, with the installation of the 70hp (Black Lightning) engine. Pictures by Harry Kraemer.
