Manufactured in Rockford, Illinois (USA) in 1983 by the Creative Cars Corporation, the Ceres was a 3-wheeler marketed as being “In touch with tomorrow”. With its sleek fibreglass body the Ceres had a coefficient of drag that was just  0.18 CD. Some thing the manufacturers proudly compared with the Audi 5000 (.30 CD) and the Rolls Royce Spirit (.55 CD).  Weighing in at 1,475 lbs the vehicle was able to achieve 55 bhp from its OH.C Diahatsu 3 cylinder 993 cc engine that was mounted between the rear wheels.  This was able to provide a top speed of over 90 mph and a fuel consumption of 50 mpg in the City and 62 mpg on the Highway. Being just 17 inches above the road and having a wide stance the vehicle is said to have superior handling. Additionally 72% of the vehicle’s weight is over the rear wheels, thus improving over all traction, especially in snow or on ice.

The vehicle has a three passenger interior with a walnut dashboard and optional leather seats.

Costing $13, 875 for a base model and $15,270 for a model with Air Conditioning, AM/FM cassette clock radio, Two-tone paint and leather seats, production numbers are believed to have been very low.
