Description

The one-off 1942 Hydromobile at the Manoir de l'Automobile and is displayed at the Retromobile in Paris France. It was built from surplus airplane parts, and the structure is made of wood and powered by a high-speed Ford V8 engine. This 3 wheel amphibious boat has very interesting mechanics like retractable wheels and a complex system of a chain transmission which is the first amphib to go at high speed on water.
