Advertisements like many things are geared towards a public in its current climate. It’s interesting therefore that this small collection of Reliant advertisements not only detail the cars advertised but also have clues to the economy and interest of the day. In today’s vehicles there are many things we take for granted but over the years having a 3-wheeler with an electric horn or having hydraulic brakes on all 3 wheels was big news. Even suspension was something that many 3-wheelers lacked in the earlier years. Each advert therefore not only details the great advances Reliant were making but shows how they thrived to survive, where as many 3-wheeler manufacturers met their doom within a few years.
