Manufactured in 1979 by the Omega Motors (The Electric Car Company - USA) in Huntington Beach, California (USA), the Omega TriStar was one of numerous electric vehicles that were being built by the company in both 3 and 4 wheeled designs. The TriStar was designed as a utility vehicle with a detachable back that allowed it to be used as a covered truck type vehicle or open pick up. Weighing in at 840lbs, the Tristar had a top speed of 30 mph and a range of 40 miles on a single charge. To charge the vehicle took 6 - 8 hours (if using 100 volts) or 4 - 5 hours if using 220 volts.
Production is believed to have ceased in the mid 1980s.
